The Purpose Of A Business

Profit Maker Marketing helps you maximize your business success. What is the purpose of a business?  Why do most businesses fail or struggle to survive?  What’s the KEY to building a business that will make you rich?

Dunn and Bradstreet reports half of all new businesses fail within two years of startup.  Over half the remaining go out of business over the next three years.  In other words three of every four businesses vanish within five years of their first sale.   Why?

Smart, hard-working people start businesses every day, yet 750 out of every 1000 fail within five years.  And for businesses that survive, many struggle and give the owner with only a small fraction of the income they imagined when they started the business.   Why?

In spite of being smart and hard-working business owners fail because they lack one vital skill that is essential to build a successful business.  They lack the skill of marketing.  They lack the ability to generate a continuous stream of prospects contacting you to do business.

Solving this problem can be a dilemma for some, because you don’t know what you don’t know.

So if what you know about marketing doesn’t bring you all the business you could ever want, then you must assume there is no solution and you are doomed to never having enough business OR  you must agree there’re ways to attract customers and build your business you’re just not familiar with.

I’ve helped many clients generate from $50,000 to over $200,000 in sales in a matter of weeks.  The owners of these businesses are smart and savvy.  But they had no idea how to generate those sales, otherwise they would have done it without my assistance.

There are ALWAYS ways to grow a business the owner never considers.

There are ALWAYS strategies that cut risk and can double or triple any outcome the owner believes possible.   I know this because it’s my job to know.  And I know it’s real because I make it happen for clients all the time.

How much more profitable would your business be if you had a stream of people contacting you about your product or service?

Without prospects and sales nothing else matters because the business runs out of gas.  And employees, computers, software, Web sites, phone systems, and inventory won’t save the day.  They won’t matter at all.

With a non-stop supply of people seeking you out to do business, your business prospers.  And life is good.

If your business growth is flat-lined, the only answer is to do what it takes to  have a continuous flow of people who seek you out ready to business.

Take all the management and business-building theory in the world, boil it down to it the essential core essence… and you come up with famed management consultant Peter Drucker’s famous quote, “The purpose of a business is to create a customer.”

Building a business strong enough to make all your income dreams come true depends almost entirely on how effective you are at continuously attracting customers and closing sales.  Do this well enough and you get rich.

Continuously attracting new customers, clients, patients or patrons is the key to growth and is the PRIMARY concern of every continuously successful business owner.

My goal for clients is to build and implement lead generation systems that attract people to your business like flies to honey and make selling easy.

Generating a continuous supply of people who seek you out to do business is the only thing powerful enough to transform your business into the kind of customer-serving, wealth-building enterprise you imagined when you first began.

Growing your business strategically, developing powerful lead generation systems and perfecting selling systems that shorten sales cycles and result in more sales is what it takes to be successful in business.

What’s your take on this?  Is Peter Drucker right?  Is the purpose of a business to create a customer?

With the right strategic growth plan and customer-attraction systems that get people to contact you about doing business, your business will grow and you’ll reach your important goals, possibly years ahead of schedule.
